Sports Day 2006

All of us were expecting for the rain to start during the sports day... Luckily for us, the rain started onli at the end~! The sun was hot, weather was humid, but the atmosphere was not too bad...

I tote it was our duty as teachers to stop the kids from going to buy food and drinks from the external stores... mainly becoz the place was very accessible by the public... At least that was MY thinking... So i went ahead and did what i tote was rite... In the end, a parent scolded me becoz other houses could go and buy food while mine could not... I dunno what was their problem seriously... If anything was to happen to their kid, i'm pretty sure they will turn around and ask "how come u allow them to go buy food and drinks??"

Next, a few of the newer teachers in this house didn't noe about the cheering competition until like maybe 2 weeks prior to the event... So what we did was to prepare the kids for some simple cheer and hoped thats wat the judges was looking for... In the end, every other houses cheer was so grand that our house look so so stupid... I wouldn't blame the kids, nor would i blame the teachers... Maybe i'll just blame myself for not finding out about this earlier... Althou it wasn't my duty to do so... Feel so sorry for the kids...

Next, Refreshments... Our P invited ALL the parents to go help themselves with the food, when it was originally catered to the staff and the VIPs... So in the end, there wasn't enough paper plates... I happened to be in the line, without a plate of coz... A parent asked me how come no plates? So i asked the nearest teacher who was in charge?? She said she dunno and i kinda walked out from there after dat...

After the cheer, the same teacher actually approached me in front of so many kids and confronted me there and then... Asking me y was i so pissed off and if i was blaming her... I said no... In fact, while i spoke to another teacher about everything that has happened, i was actually covering her ass... So she was the one that jumped to conclusion and not me...

Well... What happened, happened... Our house lost of coz...

Misconception... Guess alot of ppl has been conned into this business so now they are very skeptical about it~ But with a new system and a strong company foundation, this business can really work...

BUT they did not have the capital and business knowledge to start one... So they started MLM... They were working hard for 2 whole years until they decided that its time to move on. Now, they have their own company and are doing very well... They worked hard and they fulfilled their dream...

What happens if u or ur elderly parents fall sick? (touchwood) Many people will tell me, MEDISAVE... But how long can Medisave last?? Others will tell me INSURANCE... But does it cover everything? How long does the insurance company take to issue payouts??

Will u be able to get your salary if u are not able to work?? Will u be able to accompany your parents every hour and every minute of their last few days or even months of their lives? Or will u be slogging away so that you have the money to support the medical bills??

Its planning ahead... U will never know what will happen in the future... When it happens, it may be too late already...

Came back from KL last nite~ The seminar was FANTASTIC... The speakers was fantastic... Actually everything that happened there was really great~! All except the food i guess~ Hahaa~ I better start working hard... To fulfill my dreams in 2 years~! I'm slowly filling up my DREAM Book~ And i'll slowly work towards them~!

Back in School

Yeapz... Was back in school since yesterday and went to Yishun Stadium after school for the Sports Day - part 1. I'm in Yellow House and we won something in almost all the events held on that day~! Good Job~!

Went to trim my hair yesterday nite for today's staff captain ball game and for the trip to KL this weekend...

Tonight i'll be taking a coach up to KL for a 2 day seminar with Network 21. I'm currently finding other means to earn money~ Hahaa~ When i get my first pay check, I'll announce to the whole world~! (well, at least to those who read my blog. Hahaa~)

One more GOOD NEWS~! I got my degree course already~ After waiting for so long for the results... Yay~!

Back to Work~!

A generous doctor...

Its quite seldom that we can meet a generous doctor... generous in terms of giving out MCs... Yesterday i was given 1 day MC becoz of indigestion and he gave me some pills for that... Guess the medicine worked too well, today had diarrhoea for the whole morning... Went back for check up again and he say that it is expected and gave me another 2 day MC... Altogether, i was charged 23 bucks only for both consultation...

Now i have a huge problem... Okay, i exaggerated... I'm feeling kinda better already... but i'm not sure if i should take the MC for tml also... Coz tml i have alot of things goin on in school~ And my brain is telling me to go... But my heart is telling me to rest at home... Wat should i do???

I'm just wondering how did the morning exercise go today...

Its hard to find someone that you can confide in...

Messed up Day~

My turn to lead the morning exercise finally came... Not that i was looking forward to it thou~

About 3 minutes before the thing started, i was told that i had to stand on the table to demostrate becoz it wasn't safe for the pupils to do so...

Swallowed that and climbed onto the table... Did my thing and rushed off to settle other things...
Started feeling wierd in my stomach... Went to see a doc and rest at home~ Suffered from indigestion...

A meeting was scheduled for tuesday at cck, but location keeps changing... When i tote all have been confirmed already, the msg came in that the location changed yet again... It is so so irritating and inconvenient... I'm already quite fed up already... But all was settled at about 10.30pm~

In the midst of confirming the schedule, i recieved an sms... Guess wat, i was told to modify my morning exercise routine... Add more leg movements... I jus told her straight that i'm not confident to add anything at such a short notice... And that i dun noe anything about wushu to start with... She replied saying that she will tell the other teachers that gave the feedback about my constraints... Well, maybe add some comments about me incapable blah blah~ I'll never noe...

And lastly, my bf haf to add in the "i have to spend time with my own friends too" attitude... So tml, i'll be having a long day, lonely dinner, travelling alone until i meet up with my aunty to go to a meeting which i seriously hope will not change location again...

Yet another Complain Entry...

Finally got a PC

Finally collected the pc from my uncle...

We were fixing my ram and hard disk over when things starts to mess up~

We tote that the hard disk was to be inserted from the inside and there was this fan blocking the way... So I kinda took it out... And guess wat, the pentium chip came out together with the fan becoz of the grease... When we were putting it back, i kinda bent one of the pin on the circuit board... So while we were fixing the chip, the pin BROKE off~! Luckily my previous PC chip was still working, so we transfered it over...

Well, finally it was working and we solder the pin back and kept it for emergency~ Hahaa~ Wouldn't risk trying the chip out thou~

Secret project! + Free Periods!

Guess what, i had 2 additional free periods today thanks to the learning journey the P1 are having today. And also thanks to that did i finally have the time to finish marking all the workbooks in time for my lesson later~

~Update on the secret project~

Well, the workshop is starting today, we almost didn't have enough time to specially select the pupils taking part.

And it was so difficult to justify our reasons for picking the more expensive vendor. The price is almost doubled from the cheapest one...

I'll have to commit myself to be around twice a week until 6.30pm~ It's going to be tiring from now on...

Cycling Trip @ East Coast

Happy April Fools Day~!~!

I spent my morning at East Coast Park... Together with about 100+ pupils and 10 teachers.
Teacher Pupil Ratio is about 12:1... While i'm there as the safety chief and medic~! Hahaa~ Basically, If any pupil is down, i would have to rush to the location and accompany the pupil back to the resting area aka mac. Also, if any of the bicycle's chain "derailed", i would also have to rush there to fix it back for them... Hahaa~

Adrian is also there~! He is there to help me look after the injured kids if any at mac. Hahaa~!

All ended well with minimal injuries and problems.

Back in School

Yupz~ today is a saturday and i'm back in school~
Gotta do some lesson plans and mark some books...

Looking back at all my previous post, i finally saw that my life has become pretty boring... Almost all the posts were whining about my job... Dun be mistaken, my job is really great, its all the paperwork thats bogging me down...

After one week of full PE, i can really feel the stress bogging me down~ I dun have the energy to do alot of things after work... Den again, my marking is reduced by alot... So plus and minus~

Okie~ Back to work before i doze off~ Heee~

Yeapz, we are embarking on a project at the school, and i'm like in the "planning" team...
So, i am kinda shag now from the meeting that i jus attended...
Not bad lah~ jus hope the end results will be good enough to get the real project running...

But my concern now is how to deco my class... Some EV team is coming and we haf to spruce up the classes by this friday... Shag ar... Nvm... better start marking the art pieces so i can put them up tommorrow...

Yupz, holiday is gone just like that...

I didn't actually do any markings and admin work during the hols... Except for the few days that i went back to school~ All i did was rest, relax and catch up with all the gaming i have missed out on since i started work...

Today jus started on the all PE routine~
So far so good... but i tink will get more shiong in few days time~

Today i have a student that went to BITE somebody's hand! Pushed a teacher too... Confirm discipline case liao~ Well, warned him a few times already~

I'm in school~ Jus finished decorating the notice boards in the class... So tired... My class notice board very plain de... Black paper with colored paper border... Too tired to put more effort into it~

Feeling sick now~ maybe not enough food~ didn't have breakfast and took a few pieces of biscuits for lunch~ Hiaz... 3 more days till school reopens... i'm kinda scared now actually~ Hahaa~

ALL PE~! I'm so DEAD...

Dead PC

My PC is pretty much dead...

Started out with my PC could not shut down... Keeps restarting even if i clicked on the shut down button... Did a virus scan, spyware scan etc etc... still could not solve the problem... so the only way was to "manually" shut it down...

So while i was still using, it was still okay... until i came back from adrian's place on sunday night~ dats when i got the shock of my life~! My monitor was DEAD~! At least thats my first impression... I could on my PC, but no transmission to the monitor~ but when i plugged out the monitor from my pc, the "No Signal" message appeared... So i guess it wasn't my monitor...

So no choice there, brought it over to adrian's place, dismantle the tower to see if anything is loose... Finally after touching the sockets, the pc was able to transmit some info onto the monitor... Guess wat it said? "Boot Failure: System Halted"

Arrrrgh~! How now?? what could be the prob?? I having such a headache~ No money liao still liddat~ Sianz sia... Luckily my hard disk still ok~

Hope its my gfx card... My gfx card sucks anyway...

Met my VP at a shopping centre...

Yupz~ Such a coincedence~ Well, meeting my VP doesn't mean good news...
I was told that my timetable will be reshuffled when the term starts...
All becoz of a colleague that recently became pregnant~ She basically teaches PE and English... So now, i'm being thrown to teach all her PE subjects while she takes over my English periods...

Good and bad...
Good coz i dun really like to teach english from the start...
Bad coz my morning before recess will be sooooo hectic~!

U noe how it goes, Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst~ Hahaa~

Holiday is finally here...

Parent meeting session was so hectic... one parent after another... no time to take a sip even~

Camp... Went quite okay~ Very tired after the whole thing is over...

As for holidays, its finally here... I'll try to relax as much as i can... Since its jus one more term before i start my studies all over again~

I have parent meeting session which i have not exactly prepared myself yet... Called almost all the parents that couldn't make it~ Still got 4 parents MIA...

Holiday homework not really prepared too... supposed to give them their workbook for homework and suddenly the dept wans to check the books... so YAY for the kids~! one less homework to do...

As for the camp, i'm kinda in charge of 3 activities together with another colleague... but material preparations are pretty much done by me~ Sooooo.... Nvm... Just hope all will turn out well tml lo~

But after all these, i'll have a week break~ hopefully no last minute meetings thou... Thursday have to go back to clean the PE store and learn some wushu for morning exercise~ Hahaa~

Observation is Done~

2 Teachers were supposed to observe me today... but my direct supervisor did not have the time, so ended up with my mentor observing onli...

Well, overall it went quite well... alot of positive feedback... She said i'll make a great teacher~! I'm so encouraged by that line~!

Now hoping to get the application approved onli~!

Yay~!
